This post is, although completely unrelated to fashion, very relevant currently in my life and something which I am sure most of you have experienced too. So here goes….
It’s been one hell of a journey, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. This post serves as a reminder to you all that it’s okay to make mistakes, it’s okay to try different things and it’s MORE than okay to feel uncertainty when deciding on your career path.
It has taken me what felt like three long years to find myself but it was well worth the wait.
Deciding upon one’s future is one of the most challenging decisions one will ever have to make so it is not to be taken lightly. Some people never find their way as they may settle for something that never truly fulfills them in exchange for security and a temporary peace of mind. But i’m here to tell you to challenge the voice inside your head. The voice which is doubting you. The voice which blames you for not having your life together. The voice wanting to persuade you to follow your head and not your heart.
I am so grateful that I underwent this difficult process because not only have I finally found a passion which inspires me but I’ve found self-worth and self-kindness along the way. I’ve had to tell myself numerous times that it’s okay to arrive at a decision regarding my future a little later that some others around me. In fact, at any stage in your life, there’s nothing wrong with finding your meaning whether it be earlier or later than your peers.
